Senior move managers have significant expertise in maximizing the client’s resources to save time, money, and emotional stress. Our services are personalized to meet the unique needs of every client with the ultimate goal of making each senior living transition as smooth as possible.

Even with the support of family and friends, additional hands-on help and emotional support is usually required to help the client create a new home while retaining the best of the old.

4. What does a senior move manager do?

Senior move managers offer a variety of services that vary depending on individual client needs and wants.

This is a summary:

  • Creating the master move plan
  • Assistance with sorting, downsizing and organizing belongings
  • Packing
  • Arranging for shipping and storage
  • Arranging and coordinating moving services
  • Unpacking and new home set-up

5. Why are senior move managers needed?

Social changes have made it increasingly difficult for family members or friends to provide all of the physical and emotional assistance needed for a later life move of a loved one. Many older adults have not moved in decades.

They often are overwhelmed by the possessions they have accumulated and they may have grown children living far away who have children themselves and demanding careers. Whatever the situation, they need assistance when it comes time to transition from one living situation to another.

With older people making up the fastest growing segment of the Canadian population, senior move management has emerged to fill the gaps and make moving easier for everyone involved.

6. What is a senior move manager?

A senior move manager helps seniors and their families downsize and relocate to new living situations—houses, condos, apartments, senior communities, or assisted living.

We provide assistance with all aspects of a living transition, from planning, to arranging for the movers, to the new home set up.  Senior move managers have knowledge about cost, quality, and availability of resources that older adults and their families need to ensure a successful move.

We are dedicated to making the transition process as comfortable as possible, physically and emotionally, as well as maximizing all resources available.
